Milan, 19 March 2012 – RCS MediaGroup and 24 ORE Group announce that Carlo Montanaro, editor-in-chief of Dove and Style, has been appointed today also editor-in-chief of the monthly I Viaggi del Sole.
“The magazine has a well-defined readership and a distinguished presence on the market, cemented over the years by the remarkable work of Pier Luigi Vercesi, who has made it not only a practical guide, but also a trendsetter. We shall continue to push ahead along this path. I am delighted to be back at the helm of a magazine that draws on the fruitful synergy with the Group that publishes Il Sole 24 Ore.” Carlo Montanaro adds: “Joining me, as joint editor-in-chief, is Mariella Grossi, former deputy editor-in-chief of Dove, who brings her experience, knowledge and culture on the world of travel”.
The first issue of Viaggi del Sole hit newsstands on 18 November 2006. A project conceived by Carlo Montanaro himself, who was managing editor of the magazine from inception, initially working together with Walter Mariotti - editor-in-chief - and from December 2007 with Pier Luigi Vercesi.
Every month, Viaggi del Sole’s mission is to provide its demanding, inquiring and novelty-hungry readers-travelers with a practical perspective and, most of all, with an original angle on the featured destinations, whether large capitals or the remotest corners of the planet.
