Our Commitment to a Sustainable Future

At Gruppo 24 ORE, we are dedicated to promoting sustainability in every aspect of our operations. Our mission is to contribute to sustainable economic development by combining long-term profitability with social justice and environmental protection. We aim to be a cultural benchmark for the country, viewing sustainability not only as a goal but as a means to inspire societal transformation.

In recent years, we have accelerated our commitment in this area. We established the ESG and Technological Innovation Committee and created the Innovation and Sustainability Directorate, which developed MyESG to better coordinate and manage our sustainable initiatives. We approved the first ESG Plan in our group's history, founded on two strategic directions: digital transformation and people engagement. We have received significant recognitions, such as the Gender Equality Certification, and joined the UN Global Compact Network. Through the creation and dissemination of content across our media and events, we promote a culture of sustainability, encouraging individuals, stakeholders, suppliers, and businesses to embark on a path towards a more responsible future. To achieve this goal, we adopt a dual approach: internal transformation, with MyESG, and external, through ESG24.

Environment: Reducing Environmental Impact

We harness innovation to reduce CO2 emissions both within and outside our offices. Our Milan office is BREEAM Lead certified, and we continuously implement relayout and relamping interventions in Rome to enhance environmental sustainability. We use 100% renewable energy and promote smart working to reduce the impact of transportation. Additionally, we participate in circular initiatives such as waste exchange and encourage sustainable mobility across all company levels.

Social: Inclusion and Well-being

We promote diversity and inclusion through targeted programs and initiatives. In December 2022, we became the first media company in Italy to receive Gender Equality Certification. We adhere to best practices such as the UN Global Compact and participate in the Parks Index on LGBTQAI+ issues. We offer extensive training on sustainability and specialized skills, with over 80% of employees participating. We invest in employee well-being by providing contributions for nurseries, hosting sustainable workshops, and supporting solidarity initiatives.

Governance: Responsible and Effective Management

We set clear objectives for management on ESG matters and oversee integrated risk management with a focus on sustainability. Our corporate policies and procedures are guided by sustainability values and objectives, including our Code of Ethics, Social Media Policy, Code of Self-Regulation for Ethical AI Application, and Model 231.

Tangible Commitment

Through a comprehensive information system that includes initiatives and insights in the daily newspaper, the IlSole24Ore.com website, the Radiocor news agency, Radio 24, exhibitions and workshops by 24 ORE Cultura, Sole 24 Ore Formazione master's degrees, and events organized by 24 ORE Eventi, we engage businesses, citizens, and institutions in a constructive dialogue on sustainability.

Our production of content on sustainability and innovation has increased by 10%, expanding both our impact and the reach of our message.
