Sustainability and innovation are our home.
We are based in an environmentally friendly building.
Spaces that put people and the environment at the centre.
The design of the work areas of our headquarters, undertaken in cooperation with DEGW/Lombardini22, reflects our values: digital innovation and the central role of information. Our headquarters have been awarded the Leed Gold certification and, with the best available technology, support the digitisation of processes and multimedia development of the Group. All the indoor environments encourage new ways of experiencing places and professional relationships, integrating policies of inclusiveness and environmental sustainability.
There is more: both our Milan and Rome offices are covered by the ISO 14001 certification process for environmental management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety management.
Two recognitions that testify on the one hand to the attention we pay to carrying out all our activities while reducing our environmental impact, and on the other hand to the importance we pay to the safety and healthiness of our workplaces, preventing accidents at work and health problems.
Green technologies working for the future.
Various environmentally friendly solutions such as photovoltaic panels, electric car charging stations, and then solar benches were adopted in the Milan headquarters project. An energy saving plan has made it possible to plan an extensive series of actions to improve the energy efficiency of the present systems, such as the inclusion of software for the automatic modulation of plant set points by means of dynamic algorithms, the installation of C02 probes in the open spaces to modulate air changes according to the real quality of the air, as well as the study to double the photovoltaic system and the inclusion of an additional heat pump. The building, already featuring high performance and work activities within it in the 05:00/00:00 time slot, achieved the unexpected target of a further 10.8% reduction in energy and 4% reduction in methane compared to the previous year.
Still in the wake of hi-tech-green urban regeneration and an ever-increasing reduction of C02 from all company activities, an important agreement was reached to obtain a transit easement on the lot adjacent to the headquarters, allowing the opening of an entrance, equipped with turnstiles, in front of the MM5 Ponale exit, thus incentivising an increase in public transport season tickets and therefore an intensification of green home-work travel.
In addition, the innovative photocatalytic solution for cleaning windows was adopted for the first time in Milan, leading to a significant reduction in the main pollutants in the air, such as nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere (equivalent to around 900 fewer petrol cars per year).
At the Rome headquarters, several improvements have been made to enhance space liveability and boost the building's environmental performance. These enhancements include replacing old neon and LED lamps with new, more efficient ones to brighten the spaces, installing presence and motion sensors for automated lighting control, implementing time-based partial operation of systems, and introducing new, more efficient video conferencing equipment.
