Milan, 31 January 2019 - On the radio advertising sales front in 2018, 24 ORE System, the advertising agency of the 24 ORE Group, continued in 2H the positive trend seen in 1H reaching a total of 5,153,000 listeners, driven by the outstanding results of Radio 24 and Radio Kiss Kiss, which recorded an all-time high in ratings in 2018 (RadioTer).

In second half 2018, Radio 24 topped 2,350,000 listeners for the first time ever, continuing the positive trend seen in recent years.

Radio 24 counted 2,281,000 listeners on average day in 2018, up by 3.4% versus 2017, in turn up by 8.5% versus 2016.

Radio Kiss Kiss, 24 ORE System’s other broadcaster under concession, enjoyed huge success too, with its annual figure confirming double-digit growth on average day (+18.9%) with 2,872,000 listeners.

The improvement of the two broadcasters is even more positive, considering the general decline in radio audience (-2.1%) in 2018, and the fact that Radio 24 and Radio Kiss Kiss are among the only four radio stations to move upwards in the ranking of national broadcasters.

The performance is in sharp contrast with the market trend, also in terms of average quarter of an hour, which is the key measure in terms of advertising. The average quarter-hour audience of Radio 24 topped 200,000 listeners, increasing by 5.2% versus 2017; Radio Kiss Kiss grew by 73% versus 2017, reaching 256,000 listeners.
