Remarkable performance of Radio 24 in second half 2022, among the few growing radio stations according to the Radio Ter surveys released today. The 24 ORE Group broadcaster confirms the growth trend in ratings, increasing by +1.0% on average day and with a sharp increase in average quarter-hour of +4.8% (2° half 2022 vs 2° half 2021). In total year 2022, Radio 24 confirms the ratings growth (+0.9%), reaching 2,261,000 listeners on average day.

The ratings increase in 2022 rewards the value of Radio 24's format based on the trusted information and quality content of its news broadcasts and programmes. A format supported by the editorial staff’s ability to develop authoritative insights, specials and new products presented on different audio platforms.

"Even in a year as the current marked by the energy crisis and the war, Radio 24 comes out once again as the trusted source for listeners, thanks to the impressive work of our journalists and hosts and the quality of reporting that distinguishes our entire editorial group. The figures confirm Radio 24's public service role in helping to understand all the spillovers into daily life of the economic, political and international situation”, says Fabio Tamburini, Director of the Radio and Managing Editor of the 24 ORE Group.

"The continued growth in average quarter-hour ratings rewards the remarkable work of Radio 24's editorial staff, both in the newscasts and programmes, and in the production of specials, ad hoc content and podcasts on topics of great interest to the public, from healthcare to education, from the energy crisis to the developments and the chronicling of the war, from the trends of the various sectors of the economy to social hardships”, underscores Sebastiano Barisoni, deputy executive director of Radio 24. “The result is even more significant in a market caught in a slight downturn.

"The ratings figures for 2022, combined with on-demand listening on the website and app, and the production of new original podcasts, confirm the listening loyalty of Radio 24 and its editorial proposition, now reached by listeners through all available channels thanks to digital and multichannel experience - says Federico Silvestri, General Manager Media & Business 24 ORE Group - Our audio content strategy, implemented three years ago, is in fact yielding great results in terms of successful original productions with our listeners: the podcasts have exceeded 8 million listens per month for an average duration of 45 minutes, an outstanding figure that positions us as a leader in the field. This strategy will be increasingly at the heart of Radio 24's evolution. The market, Silvestri adds, has also recognized our great storytelling skills, and this year more and more businesses have chosen us as their ideal partner both for producing content that can effectively and authoritatively communicate their values, and for building stronger, longer-lasting ties with their audiences. The same success has been achieved in the participation in outdoor events and digital round tables. This is confirmed by the extraordinary double-digit growth recorded in 2022 on the advertising sales front”.
