A new logo and a new website for the twentieth anniversary of Radio 24

Radio 24 has turned 20: an important milestone, celebrated with a memorable event that has evolved into an opportunity to unveil a new image, new content and new forms of broadcasting.

 

Founded on 4 October 1999, Radio 24 launched the unprecedented challenge in Italy of a news&talk broadcaster, growing year after year to boast today a regular listenership of 2.3 million people (average day figure, which increases from Monday to Friday to 2.6 million - source: Ter surveys 1° half 2019).

 

Over the years, Radio 24 has sought to intercept an audience keen on receiving an accurate and in-depth narrative of topical issues from around the world, partaking in the events, and eager to meet the main players of our times. Radio 24 has succeeded in quenching its audience’s thirst, open as a window on daily reality and with an eye on the overwhelming changes marking our day and age, by offering all-round, trustworthy information prepared by the editorial staff of its newscasts, the unmistakable identity and authority of its programmes, fronted by outstanding and highly professional hosts, a communication language ever ready to pleasantly entertain, and the ongoing evolution of its offering, through the development of new formats, the enhancement of new channels and a strong bent for technological innovation.

 

To celebrate this defining moment, Radio 24 has launched a major initiative for the creation of a new logo and a new claim by involving its audience. An initiative that has received the extraordinary feedback of over 45 thousand projects and ideas presented.

 

For its 20° anniversary, Radio 24 has also revamped its website, developing a new architecture and a new graphical layout. The new website, online since 14 October, is conceived to align with today’s forms of using radio and audio, which, as is the case for television, complements on-air with on-demand listening. The new website is, therefore, a listening platform for instant use, where the audience can choose to tune in to live radio streamings, to the podcasts of programmes aired and to those that gather the most captivating moments inside a broadcast. Additionally, the website is enhanced with new original podcasts, created specifically by the radio hosts and journalists, to be consumed on the website.
