THE NEW IL SOLE 24 ORE OUT STARTING 16 MARCH

A new print format, a new way of reading the newspaper, new content, new graphics and a new App packed with innovative features.

A new integrated system to stay in the know, understand, and act.

Starting 16 March, Il Sole 24 Ore readers can skim through the newspaper in a more compact, practical and classy format, and with a vertical orientation designed to offer more usable information and enhanced readability. On top of all this, a new tempo for content, new sections and a new app full of innovative features will provide all the information needed to understand, in a clear, complete and authoritative way, the world of real economy, finance, tax and regulatory developments of our Country with an eye also on what’s happening on the international front.

"The new format of Il Sole 24 Ore is the most tangible sign of a path that started two years ago to enhance all the content created both in terms of content itself and technology and to allow users to make the most of content quality and authority: all this thanks to the longstanding, unwavering strength of our brand," says Giuseppe Cerbone, CEO of the 24 Ore Group. "We are building a product system, not just a new newspaper, in a multi-format and multi-platform logic and in a 'digital first' perspective, pushing it to the limit and leveraging on AI techniques and technologies and innovative tools to experience content at its best."

The new Il Sole 24 Ore comes in the "Rhenish" format, switching from the 40x56 Broadsheet to the 35x53, with one column less, making it more user-friendly. A format that differs from the classic "Tabloid" adopted by most other newspapers in that it is longer. The new layout enhances the re-sized pages that gain a vertical scope, offering a more dynamic read and greater focus on what matters.

And thanks to the clearer organization of news items on the page and useful and straightforward summaries, readability and overall distribution of content has been improved.

NEW CONTENTS: a new page on “Economy and international policy”, the comments page doubles, in come savings & investments with the section "Finanza e Mercati", the Monday edition hosts a new School page, while the Sunday edition is enriched on the travel and hi-tech products front and on the world of decor and design.

"We are going through a tough moment indeed. And it's in moments like these that we need to keep moving forward. The only way out is to focus on development and innovation stresses Fabio Tamburini, Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 ORE. "We are making every effort to follow this change: starting Tuesday, we turn over a new leaf to focus on the new format of Il Sole 24 ORE. A bold initiative unscathed by the crisis."

"The format, but not the content, is cut down by one column, more compact," Tamburini adds. “Our focus is on topic selection and the ability to offer a sharp and timely narrative of facts."
