Open, inclusive, and ambitious: everyone can take part in the debate on economic and social evolution with their own original contribution, by participating in the Il Sole 24 Ore Economic and Social Non-Fiction Literary Prize with their own unpublished text. Thought is the centrepiece of the Prize. Thought that envisions new models for decoding the trends in force, driven by the geopolitical, demographic, and cultural movements at play on a global scale; capable of delivering fresh perspectives on far-reaching issues - from macroeconomics to finance - to more specific topics, such as sustainability, social cohesion, employment, leadership, open innovation, and enterprise.

The Il Sole 24 Ore Economic and Social Non-Fiction Literary Prize, launched at the Festival dell’Economia di Trento organized for the first time by the 24 ORE Group during the four days that brought together the brightest national and international minds from the academic world and in economic thought to the Trentino capital, is addressed to Italian and foreign authors for unpublished texts written in Italian. The Prize welcomes both established authors, who have already self-published or published a book with a publisher, and first-time authors. The full rules can be found at ilsole24ore.com/premioletterario.

Applications are open and will close on 30 September 2022. The winner, picked by the Jury at its sole discretion, will be announced in November and will have the opportunity to see his/her unpublished work published by the Il Sole 24 Ore Publishing House. The book will be unveiled to the public together with Il Sole 24 Ore and, additionally, will be showcased at the 2023 Book Fair.

The jury, chaired by Il Sole 24 Ore Editor-in-Chief Fabio Tamburini, is composed of Marco Carminati, Chief Editor of Domenica - Il Sole 24 Ore, Marta Dassù, Editor-in-Chief of Aspenia and Senior Advisor European Affairs, The Aspen Institute, Alessandra Losito, General Manager Pictet Wealth Management Italia, Karen Nahum, General Manager Publishing & Digital 24 ORE Group, and Alberto Orioli, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 Ore.

“The curtains have just closed on an extraordinary edition of the Festival dell’Economia di Trento dominated by dialogue and pluralism, which have elevated the debate on the core issues touching the Italian and global economy. This is one of the reasons behind the Il Sole 24 Ore literary prize, which calls together all those authors who intend to offer us inputs for a reflection on the future”, explains Il Sole 24 Ore Editor-in-Chief, and Radiocor news agency and Radio 24 Director Fabio Tamburini.

"We take great pride in launching this initiative, which is part of the path of development and promotion of Sole 24 Ore's line of books dedicated to the general public, a proposition that has expanded in recent years, offering readers a wide-ranging catalogue, with volumes edited by the great names of Il Sole 24 Ore alongside various experts and contributors to the newspaper. The Prize is an additional opportunity for all those who wish to make their own quality contribution to our themes, by becoming an active part of our catalogue”, adds Karen Nahum, General Manager Publishing & Digital 24 ORE Group.
