Il Sole 24 ORE Group doubles its income in 2006

Milan, 27 April 2007 - The General Meeting of the publishing group, Il Sole 24 ORE, met in Rome on 26 April to approve the Annual Report as at 31 December 2006. Consolidated net profit for the year increased to € 16.650 million, more than doubling with respect to the € 7.071 million in 2005.  Consolidated revenues amounted to € 510.6 million (total revenues in 2005 were € 485.8 million).
The General Meeting also appointed the Board of Directors and Board of Statutory Auditors for the next three years, confirming the directors (Maurizio Beretta, Aldo Bonomi, Claudio Calabi, Giancarlo Cerutti, Innocenzo Cipolletta, Giuseppe De Rita, Paolo Scaroni) and auditors (Piergiorgio RE, Demetrio Minuto, Alberto Usuelli) currently in office.
Giancarlo Cerutti was reappointed as chairman of the company. The Board met later to confirm Claudio Calabi to another mandate in the office of C.E.O.
