Greater responsiveness, flexibility and depth for the new homepage of the Il Sole 24 Ore website:among the new features: more and more podcasts, videos, infographics and theme dossiers
Sole 24 Ore continues to innovate, and after launching the new format and new content of the Daily on 16 March together with the new app, presents on Friday 30 April the new homepage of the ilsole24ore.com website.
The new homepage rests on the principle of greater responsiveness and flexibility, starting from the initial section of the opening news, developed to accommodate even more content, while maintaining the hierarchical structure of the news of the day, and adding richness to the information through new modules of real time news, videos and infographics directly viewable on the homepage, and more space dedicated to related content to adapt to the information needs of users, while offering a complete overview and ready analysis.
More generally, a modular widget design allows the editorial staff to constantly and swiftly choose the best structure of the homepage among the wide range of available modules, offering an increasingly optimized contextualization of advertising formats and an improved performance of the viewability KPI on display positions.
Scrolling the page after the opening news in the foreground, the new modules offer users vertical in-depth analysis: among these, the new 24+ box, which showcases the premium section of Il Sole 24 Ore, packed with analyses and longform articles on the most relevant news ranging from finance to regulations, or the new box dedicated to theme dossiers, in an area created to ensure instant access to all the articles and added multimedia contributions.
These multimedia contributions are the other distinguishing feature in terms of enhancement inside the new homepage. In addition to being directly related to the news, the videos are also collected in a new, wider band, thanks to the introduction of horizontal scrolling, and are always accessible inside the header of the site during the increasingly numerous live streaming sessions.
The multimedia section is split to give immediate space to podcasts, which are growing strong both in terms of catalogue and stream volume, starting from "Start24", the daily podcast with the useful news of the day, continuing with the podcasts of the editorial staff, including "Sessantasecondi", the daily take of deputy editor Alberto Orioli, and of many authors including "Donne di futuro" by Maria Latella and the latest "Olivetti, l'occasione perduta" by Catholic University Professor Paolo Colombo, wrapping up with the new podcasts created thanks to artificial intelligence, "Le Borse oggi" and "Covid, contagi e vaccini oggi". A new space that also offers the podcasts of Radio 24, with a view to synergy and a unique offering of audio content of the Group.
