Following the Ministry of Education’s plea asking teachers to "Go ahead with distance learning: the children need you", Radio 24 wishes to offer its own contribution to distance learning. Starting today the website www.radio24.it offers downloadable podcasts to teachers and students: science, history, geography, literature material to download, share and listen to through interviews and insights into some of the historical programmes of Radio 24.

Kicking off, for HISTORY, the biographies of the great personalities of the 20th century, whose lives and feats are compellingly exposed in Enrico Ruggeri's "Il Falco e il Gabbiano", from the great political figures such as Churchill and Kennedy to the drivers of science and culture like Einstein and Pirandello; for GEOGRAPHY, the regions of Italy told through the eyes of science and wonder, to gain deeper knowledge of our Country, by Federico Taddia and Telmo Plevani in "L'Italia spiegata a mio figlio"; for SCIENCE, the science of water, from technologies for sea protection and enhancement, to underwater archaeology and new sources of alternative energy, explored by “Marefuturo - l'acqua di domani il domani dell'acqua” by Chiara Albicocco. Lastly, for ART, the podcasts of "Luoghi d'arte - Alla scoperta dei tesori dell'Italia" by Marco Carminati, editor of the cultural insert of Il Sole 24 Ore "Domenica" in a serialized journey that takes us from Leopardi’s landscape of Recanati to Raffaello’s angels in Piacenza.

And every week, new contents to add, such as the story of the Renaissance, places of art, and great literature.

Verso il future e Oltre, the series of podcasts by Maria Piera Ceci showcases the best distance-learning experiences: virtual classes, distance cooking and history lessons told by teachers and school principals who have taken up the challenge of the coronavirus. Every Thursday a new episode on Radio 24.
