BoD of 24 ORE Group appoints Roberto Napoletano as editor-in-chief of Il Sole 24 ORE

Milan, 15 March 2011 – The Board of Directors of Il Sole 24 ORE spa, on the proposal of Chairman Cav.Lav. Dr. Giancarlo Cerutti, unanimously appointed Roberto Napoletano as editor-in-chief of Il Sole 24 ORE. The Board wished the new editor-in-chief all the best for his work.

Born 50 years ago, Napoletano boasts a decade of previous experience with Il Sole 24 ORE: editor-in-chief of the daily “Guida Normativa” and of specialized weeklies “Guida al Diritto” and “Guida agli enti locali”, chief editor of the Italian economy desk in Milan, head of the editorial staff in Rome and deputy editor-in-chief. Over the past 5 and a half years, he was editor-in-chief of “Il Messaggero”. He is author of best-selling books such as “Padroni d’Italia” and “Fardelli d’Italia”.

Napoletano will step in as editor-in-chief of Il Sole 24 ORE starting March 23. The newspaper will be led until then by senior deputy editor-in-chief Edoardo De Biasi.
