Another addition to our range of publications which provides a unique environment for simple and flexible access to all of the wealth of Sole 24 Ore’s authoritative coverage and to the updates and multimedia on the www.ilsole24ore.com website. Including the daily newspaper as well as the supplements and inserts, in addition to multimedia news, videos, photos, article galleries, dossiers and financial data: this is what you will find in the Sole 24 Ore’s new App, optimized for both iOS and Android devices, available free of charge from 4th April for tablets and smartphones at Apple Store and Google Play Store.

This is the first App on the Italian market to provide a single access point to all online content from both the website and the vertical newspapers and to digitally browse through the newspaper, inserts and magazines.

A powerful yet agile work tool that can be customized to your needs, making it even easier for professionals, managers, and entrepreneurs, at any time and from any mobile device, to access information in real time as well as the in-depth information and updates from the Sole 24 Ore’s integrated IT system.

The new features

The Sole 24 Ore’s new App provides users with a series of new features, designed to offer a tool tailored to each reader’s needs. Readers can personalize the Home Page of the online edition, i.e. the contents from the website, by selecting sections of interest, as well as choosing whether the App will start off from the online edition or from a digital replica of the newspaper.

In the new product release, you can activate push notifications on your device to get the most relevant news on your selected topics.

You can also build up a personal archive of contents: a dedicated environment, synchronized on all the devices you use and accessible even in offline mode.

As Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 ORE and Managing Editor of the 24 ORE Group Guido Gentili explains, “The new App is a tool which enhances our publishing offer in a totally innovative way, following on from the development of our digital and multimedia content, characterized by product originality and innovation. Indications that we’re on the right track can be seen in the excellent results we’ve been achieving in terms of website audience, which has grown steadily from month to month with the many publishing and technological improvements we’ve been introducing”.

The release of the App is yet another step in our strategy to support the Sole 24 Ore’s growth on the digital front as well, as confirmed by data from the Audiweb-Database for January 2018, showing that IlSole24ore.com is the only one of the top ten news sites to show a positive trend in January 2018 compared to January 2017 (+12.7%) in terms of individual daily users, with an overall 100% organic audience, i.e. unaffected by traffic from other sites.

Also significant is the increase in the number of streaming views, the result of great developments in VIDEO production, focusing on explanatory videos and tutorials to explain the news from the world of the economy and finance, together with analyses by authoritative commentators, as well as a completely new graphic layout.

“Our new App (or should I say our 4 new apps)”, explains Massimo Colombo, General Sales Manager at the Sole 24 ORE Group “are another step along the pathway to renewing and enriching the entire Sole 24 Ore range, which will be completed over the course of this year: from the relaunch of the men’s monthly IL, the new daily newspaper and after that the new website. The aim is to provide an increasingly integrated experience, with plenty of added value, like this App that lets you switch from the digital edition to the website and back, as well as to save articles from either source and read them in detail in your own time, even offline”.
